Its perfect September 10, 2010 V I love this product. It's perfect for working out some knots in the morning after getting up. I swear by it now. I first saw it at work when one of my coworkers came in with one, and he swore by it. I tried it a few times and was amazed with how many sore spots I found on my back without even knowing they were there before hand. I pick on my girlfriend and tell her I dont need her anymore thanks to this.
Thank God for this tool September 8, 2010 F. Gomez (Sarasota, FL) Truly a wonderful tool, I also recommend getting the trigger point therapy workbook which helps you pinpoint the trigger points which are causing the pain somewhere else on your body.

Your New Best Friend! September 5, 2010 Mary Santos (Houston, Texas) I purchased this as an anniversary gift for my husband. We've been married a long time, so therapy gifts are considered the best gifts around here. After reading all of the phenomenal reviews, I knew it was worth a shot.
On the very day this showed up on the doorstep, my husband had driven over 500 miles before arriving home. He said he had a knot near his shoulder blade that was making his elbow and hand feel numb, it hurt so bad. He spent only 5 minutes working the knot out in his back with this cane and he was like a new man. He said his elbow and hand were completely back to feeling normal and also said this was the best gift he'd ever been given.
He's had 3 back surgeries in the past, one of them being a spinal fusion, so his range of motion isn't as much as other people and he tends to get the worst knots in his back of anyone I've ever seen, as a result. This cane is such a wonderful device because I do not have strong enough hands to help him work out those deep knots and he would be in so much pain, at times, he'd be up tossing and turning all night and get up with cricks in his neck.
This device has been a real life-changer for him. I will admit, I use it too ;) I spend a lot of time on the computer and this works wonders for getting out the kinks in my neck/shoulders from long hours of typing.
If you are even -slightly- thinking about buying this, buy it! You can thank me later. The first morning you wake up with a pinch in your back, neck or shoulders, you will be so glad you made this purchase.
I agree with another reviewer. This was the best $30 bucks I ever spent.
cane August 30, 2010 Jan V. Grim I love the Thera Cane. I'm showing it to everyone in sight. I wish I would have heard about it long ago.
Great massager for hard to reach places August 24, 2010 Timothy D. Stevenson I picked up the Theracane after reading the many great reviews and reading about it in the Trigger Point Workbook by Claire Davies. If anyone out there is suffering from chronic aches or pains I highly recommend getting this book as well as checking out this very good site by Paul Ingraham called saveyourself.ca. There is a wealth of information there. Of course, you should be checked out by a doctor first to make sure there are no serious problems but it seems more likely that problems are from the result of myofacial pain.
I have nasty and numerous trigger points in my upper back and neck and have been living with frequent stiffness, aches and pain off and on for the last 4 or 5 years. I've frequented a Chiropractor and massage therapists but the pain usually returns regularly. I've decided that getting informed and taking matters into my own hands is the best and cheapest way to manage my pain. I've found that the Theracane is very good for reaching some of the trigger points on my back and on top of my shoulders. The little nubs in the center are pretty good for digging into occipital muscles in the back of my head and ones in my neck as well. It's very solidly made as well so a great amount of pressure is easy to achieve.
As good as the Theracane is though, it is not always the best tool for the situation. A lot of times if you can reach your trigger point with your hands and have the right technique you can really zero in better. I also highly recommend using various sizes of hard rubber balls. The one I like the most is actually made by the company Kong as a dog chew toy. It's just a very solid rubber ball with a very light give. Rolling this against the wall is very effective. I actually prefer it to the Theracane for the most part these days. That being said, I would highly recommend adding the Theracane to your arsenal of tools. It's good to have a variety.
