I Think it Works September 10, 2010 LI Reviewer (New York) Over the years, I've tried many fat burner pills off and on. After a foot injury, I gained about 6-7 pounds and wanted to expedite dropping that weight. After reading the reviews for this one, I thought I'd try it. I find that it works, with minimum side effects. There was no speedy feeling for me, in fact no energy increase at all and I did drop the weight. I agree with the other reviewers that say the sight of food makes you sick. That happened to me too. So, the reason this works, is because you really do not feel like eating.
I did notice a mild case of nausea a couple of times but otherwise, no bad side effects for me anyway and I dropped 5 pounds in 3 weeks. Here to reorder cuz now it inspired me to go even further--new goal 15 pounds.
Carpe Diem. September 9, 2010 Peabot 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received a free sample pack from GNC with an order I placed through them. Over the Labor Day weekend, I was invited to three BBQ's and hoping that using this would curb my appetite enough so that I wouldn't gorge out at one then be forced to do another. Well, lets just say this: I didn't eat at any of the BBQ parties. In fact, the sight of food made me sick. And speaking of sick, I had an overwhelming nauseated stomach all day, even after I had to FORCE myself to eat.
Look, I've been to college, and I've done my fair share of silly youthful indulgences that have similar effects on "hunger" and "energy"... and from what I remember, I've never had a reaction like this. One of my friends at the BBQ even asked me why my eyes kept "fluttering." And for me, a pill that does that is about as kosher as the pulled pork BBQ they served at the party. Oh, and lets not forget the whole ONE HOUR of sleep I got that Monday night. I had to call into work the next day, as I was suffering from flu-like symptoms (sweating, vomiting, chills)...and not to mention, lack of sleep.
In summary, if you want a pill that will give you the appetite suppressant you want: you got it. But carpe diem, this one isn't without side effects. I would rather take my chances buying speed on the streets of San Francisco where I live than have to endure another day of hell on this pill.
PS: If you wonder why I give it two stars, it's because it does work as an appetite suppressant. Can't fault it for trying.
Worth it. Very little side effects. Just always be cautious. September 8, 2010 khodasc 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm not going to say this product is truly amazing because you have to work for your results, like you should have to. I took oxyelite for two months while on the atkins diet and lost 15 lbs. I took spin class about three times a week and a conditioning strength class. I did occasionally cheat on my diet, but maybe something small once a week...not a regular occurance.
I have three kids and hit a weight loss lull at 156 lbs 10 months after the birth of my child. I started with one pill in the morning, and boy if you don't eat something with it you will feel hyper/jittery, but as long as you eat (in my case it was an atkins shake) you should be fine. I took a few days to build up to two pills a day, eventually three... that was too much for me so I kept it at two per day. If you take the second pill after 2 or 3 dont plan on sleeping early.
My take is you need to burn the energy this pill is creating. If you don't plan to change your lifestyle, this or any diet pill for that matter is not for you. Working out and eating healthy are essential keys to not feeling negative side effects. And don't take more pills than you can handle. Really, these things are just metabolism motivators. They help you get through a work out and not feel hungry between meals. You'll sweat more and feel overheated even when in airconditioning... a good thing..your body is burning off fat. They did make me feel happier than normal...which I have read in other peoples reviews as well. A little bit of a crash when I stopped taking them, but nothing to write home about.
Other than the above there are no crazy side effects with this that other pills give...no burning stomachs, or nausea or anything that would send up red flags. Just be careful and listen to your body. Everyone reacts differently to stimulants. You should not loose more than 3-5 lbs per week while on this. So be patient. You will melt.
Junk in a bottle for you September 8, 2010 back at ya if necessary 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product yields no good results from almost two bottles of use. Do not buy this junk, as it serves no purposes to you or benefits you in anyway at all. The only thing I noticed after 3 weeks on these pills I was getting bad headaches. It stopped and the Doc thought it might be the heat, my brother went through the same problmes. I showed him the doctor this and he agreed that it was useless for me.
I cannot say to you enough how BAD this product is. It goes down hard and nothing ever comes of it. It's just something that the marketing does.
I will never try this again.
Works for me September 3, 2010 Maria A Arnold (Fairbanks, AK United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
OxyElite Pro is working for me. It has curbed my appetite; it has given me energy for my workouts; I am losing pounds and inches, where for awhile there I was just plateauing and I am not having any issues with sleep. However, I will tell you it does make me feel sick and it is like having a major caffeine / sugar spike. My energy level goes off the map and I have a great workout than I crash pretty hard, especially if I don't eat. If I don't work out and just take the pill than I get a stomach ache and feel nauseous. I take the pill 30 minutes before my workout and than I am fine. If your not exercising and your trying to lose weight on diet alone, I would not recommend this at all. I will definitely continue to take this on rotation. You can only take it for 8 weeks than you need to stop for awhile. I would adjust the levels to your comfort level. I only take one a day and that is enough, even if the product suggest twice a day. So if you are working out and nothing is happening this will help make it happen.
